Nutrient Injections & IV Therapy

Targeted nutrient support, guided by thoughtful medical care.

IV therapy and nutrient injections at Flourish Family Medicine are offered as part of a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to care. These services are used intentionally to support hydration, energy, immune function, and overall wellbeing when clinically appropriate.

All IV therapies and injections are recommended with provider oversight and integrated into your overall care plan—not offered as standalone wellness services.

Treatments to support hydration, nutrient repletion, immune function, and overall wellbeing

Our providers recommend IV therapies based on medical history, current symptoms, laboratory data when indicated, and individual health goals. IVs are not positioned as quick fixes but as targeted support within a broader, evidence-based care plan.

Nutrient Injections

Nutrient injections are a convenient way to support energy, immune function, and overall wellbeing. These services are administered by trained medical staff and may be scheduled either in conjunction with a provider visit or independently with a Medical Assistant, depending on the service and clinical need.

NAD⁺ injections are generally well tolerated, especially when administered at lower doses. For patients who are new to NAD⁺, it is recommended to begin with a 25 mg dose to assess individual response.

NAD⁺ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) play an important role in cellular repair and metabolic function. NAD⁺ injections may help support mental focus, athletic recovery, and healthy aging.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:
NAD⁺ injections are not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or for those with active cancer. Please consult with your provider if you are unsure whether NAD⁺ is appropriate.

Vitamin B12 Injections

Vitamin B12 injections are commonly used to support energy levels, neurologic function, and overall vitality. Recommendations are based on symptoms, medical history, and clinical assessment.

To ensure appropriateness and safety, recent laboratory results documenting low vitamin D levels are required prior to receiving vitamin D injections.

Some IV therapies may be billed to insurance when medically necessary and approved by a provider.

  • Standard hydration IVs and iron IVs may be billable to insurance when clinical criteria are met and appropriate documentation is in place.
  • When iron IVs are billed to insurance, patients are responsible for a $50 facility fee per visit, which helps cover the cost of supplies and clinical resources not reimbursed by insurance.

All other nutrient IVs and specialty IV formulations are considered cash-based services and are not billable to insurance. These IVs are offered as part of individualized care plans and need to be discussed with your provider prior to scheduling.

Our team is happy to review coverage questions and help clarify what to expect before your visit.
