Our physicians take the time to individualize care to each one of our patients based on their unique needs, conditions, and situations. After reviewing your medical history and complaints, your doctor may order a series of standard, functional, or specialty lab tests, and possibly other health screenings. Once a diagnosis has been given, your doctor will put together a treatment plan that will use complementary medicines including botanical/herbal medicine, supplements, dietary and nutritional counseling, or physical modalities. If appropriate and necessary, pharmaceutical intervention may be used.

On the first visit, we will collect a full medical history and past and current health complaints, review current medication and supplements, get to know you as a person and your lifestyle behaviors (physical activity, diet, how you deal with stress), conduct a physical examination and order any laboratory tests that are relevant in order to complete an assessment and diagnosis. When making our assessment, we will use conventional diagnostic tactics and principles and practices of naturopathic medicine.

We will take the time to truly listen to your health concerns and health goals so we can create a personalized plan moving forward to achieve those health goals.

You can expect the visit to be 1 hour for your initial appointment and 30-45 minutes for subsequent visits.

As Naturopathic Physicians, we are licensed as primary care providers, and most patients choose to see us as their PCP. But depending on your goals, we can create a plan to optimize your health using holistic approaches while you still see your conventional doctor to treat an illness.

People oftentimes come to us because:

• answers or definitive diagnoses have yet to be found
• they’re feeling sick, but standard testing reveals nothing “abnormal”
• more ‘in-depth’ individualized treatment is desired than was offered with your conventional provider
• recurring health problem or infection
• a holistic approach is desired

We will look for the root cause of the illness while your conventional doctor may look to hand over a prescription in many cases. As a naturopathic office, we will utilize herbs, clinical nutrition, diet changes, exercise, and custom naturopathic treatments such as fasting, sauna therapy, and more.
